I am pursuing Ph.D. in the field of "landuse and landcover change detection using RS and GIS", from India.

I want to use Phenologic calculator for Indian landuse context. Is it possible???

If yes, then which rainfall data series should I use: 1.)  the point daily rainfall data series of raingauge station or 2) Arial rainfall data series pertaining to study area?

Welcome to the forum.

Phenocalc will help you understand relationships between the environment and land cover changes. It is designed to use daily precipitation records as well as daily temperature (to calculate growing degree days).  Both of these are important drivers in the natural vegetation communities.

If you have area rainfall data that is reliable, I think that would be a better single measure.  However, if you have several point observation sites across your study area, each within a different "eco-zone" that would be better still.
